What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is a guided conversation with God—creating space in our busy lives to listen, ask deeper questions, and let the Holy Spirit lead us toward clarity, connection, and renewal.
It’s like having a guide for your spiritual life. We slow down, ask meaningful questions, and listen together for what God’s up to in your life.

“We need someone who helps us to distinguish between the voice of God and all the other voices coming from our own confusion or from dark powers far beyond our control.” - Henri Nouwen

What to expect
Sessions typically begin with a brief moment of silence and prayer. This intentional practice aims to help you focus and tune in to the Holy Spirit. I will ask a question to encourage you to reflect on what God is doing (or not doing) in your life. The Holy Spirit guides the discussion through your experiences. My role is to listen, reflect, offer encouragement, and pose insightful questions to help you strengthen your faith.

You can think of it as coaching for your spiritual life or counseling for your relationship with God. Similar format but different focus.

What we might explore
In spiritual direction, we can cover a variety of topics, primarily focusing on your experience of God's grace. This may involve discussing spiritual disciplines (habits), any resistance you're facing, the desires of your heart, and spiritual gifts. We'll examine moments when you feel especially close to God as well as times when you don't feel connected. We may explore doubts, spiritual dryness, burnout, or disillusionment. Ultimately, your experiences and the Holy Spirit will guide the course of our journey together.
